Enditnow - say no to abuse

June 10, 2016

The German Prevention congress is an annual exhibition of about 200 organizations and the Seventh-Day Adventist Church was again represented  from June 6-7, 2016, with an Enditnow booth. The Women’s Ministries Department informed about the world-wide project „Enditnow – say no to abuse“ that is implemented together with ADRA, the Adventist development and relief organization. Valuable printed material was exhibited. A prospectus about the work of the “Desert Flower Center” at the Waldfriede Hospital in Berlin informed how women who have suffered Female Genital Mutilation can find help. ADRA also informed about what the organization is doing to help refugees. The women’s shelter in Leipzig is also part of the work the church is doing to help victims of domestic abuse.

The Prevention Day is the largest European congress for the prevention of crime and associated subject areas. The congress covers anything from substance abuse to prevention of traffic accidents and various preventive areas in health care. It is a platform for interdisciplinary information and networking.
